768 Jeannie
Jeannie is a 9 year old about 60 pound black female. Jeannie’s owner passed away a couple months ago from Alzheimer’s so Jeannie was sent to the back yard to live with the grumpy chihuahua. Needless to say, Jeannie is a hot mess. She is a mix, she is heartworm positive, and she has a limp. The owner was not of sound mind to care for Jeannie, but she did give her love and attention. The good news is Jeannie is a sweetheart! She is house trained and walks ok on a leash. She met her foster dog friends with some trepidation, but now she just considers them part of the family. She was around the grandkids and really lights up with kids. We are hoping to find a local family/person who can foster/adopt her while we take care of her heartworm treatment and other veterinary needs.
