765 Amber
Amber is a 5 1/2-year-old 48-pound purebred yellow female. Purchased and trained as a hunting dog, Amber’s hunting career was cut short because of a possible partial tear of an ACL. She was put in her outside kennel to heal(at the advice of their vet) and that’s where’s she’s lived for the past 4 years. There’s no sign of a limp and our vet couldn’t discern which leg it could have been. Amber is a little spitfire! She was once very well trained and with a little reminder, she remembers her commands. She is a loveable, attentive, bouncy, happy girl. She is now living inside and learning house manners…it is so much fun to watch her react to all the new sights and sounds. She froze staring at the TV…she thought that was simply amazing! To say the least, life is a bit overwhelming now, but she is taking on the challenge with a tail that never stops wagging. She loves fetching and she loves water and fetching in the water is the most fun. She’s lived with other large dogs and doesn’t like to share her toys…she takes her fetching seriously. She will make a wonderful addition to an active family who can devote the time to run her and play fetch with her and to give her all the love and attention she deserves. If, by chance, someone hunts on occasion in the household, she’d enjoy getting out on the weekend to enjoy the hunt too.
