73 Henry Houdini
Henry not Harry Houdini is about a 3-4 year old 68 pound black male. He found his way to a rural northern California shelter where they were at capacity. The shelter staff really liked Henry’s sweet nature and asked us to help him find a great home. We took Henry to the vet to get him checked out, vaccinated, neutered along with his fecal and heartworm tests and he came back heartworm positive. He is young, healthy, strong so we treated him, and he has been on restricted activity now for over 2 weeks with another 2 to go. It has given us time to really fall in love with this easy going boy. He is low energy so the restricted activity has been no trouble for Henry. He is house trained, crate trained, rarely barks, walks very easily on a leash, and knows sit. He gets along with other dogs. He has excellent house manners (except enjoying a nap on the couch!)…he does not counter surf even when a tasty hamburger sits on the edge…too tempting for most labs, but he just took deep sniffs. He seems to like company so another dog buddy or human buddy at home would make Henry the happiest.
