Cash is about a 3 year old 80 pound black male. Cash found himself as a stray at a northern California shelter and shelter needed room so contacted rescue. Cash is just past the teenage lab stage but just past. The shelter listed him as a 2 year old but we think he’s just a bit older. He’s a social boy and someone spent some time with him. He knows sit, down and shake and once he gets going on his walk, he walks nicely on a leash without pulling. He does jump up and we are working on that. He is crate trained and the shelter said there was never a mess in his kennel at the shelter so we are hopeful he is house trained as well. We won’t know for sure for a few days because he is in quarantine in case he comes down with kennel cough (doggie cold). It’s that time of year when the nights get cooler when most dogs coming from shelters come down with kennel cough. He sees his foster friends at a distance with a full body wiggle and you can tell he can’t wait to be playing with them all. He’s a big strong boy so no toddlers please. And a big plus–he’s quiet. Even the shelter commented on his temperament test that he rarely barks.
