915 Goose – UPDATE GOOSE NEEDS SURGERY!
Goose is a black male lab about 7 or 8 years young and weighs 80 pounds. Goose was dropped off at a park and left to fend for himself, animal control picked him up and no one came for him at the shelter. He had a foxtail in one ear which was removed, the vet and the shelter workers immediately recognized what a special boy he is. He is kind, gentle, friendly, house trained, great in the car, happy, easy going but still playful if you want. He loves to be in the action and would love family adventures. We aren’t sure why someone would give this boy up he is very special. Let us know if you are interested in Goose!
Special Note: Goose came into the rescue with a severe right ear infection which has still not resolved after multiple treatments. We recently took him to a specialist and he requires a CT Scan to determine if we can resolve the issue with in depth cleaning or a more drastic ear canal removal, we are hoping for the first. The CT scan will cost approximately $4000.00, any help you can give with this vet expense is much appreciated. UPDATE: Goose had his CT scan last Friday, 11/7/25, and we expect to hear this week what the results are. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DONATIONS WE APPRECIATE IT!!!
UPDATE: The results of Goose’s CT scan shows he requires surgery to clean out the ear canal to remove the infection, he has severe changes to the bone in the middle ear. DONATIONS are needed for the surgery, no matter how large or small, everything helps, surgery is estimated at $5000.00. Once the surgery is complete Goose will lead a normal life and be pain free in his right ear.
