567 Hunter

Hunter is a 2 year old 66 pound black male. He was surrendered to a rural shelter because he would wander off his property without a fenced in yard. So, instead of building a fence and bringing him inside as part of the family, they put him on a ‘tie out’. Hunter totally surprised us with his mature nature, his sweet demeaner and his total love bug personality. He is not a typical teenage lab; he’s gentle and sweet–a real pleasure to be around. He is so loving that he literally fell over backwards trying for the lab lean. Hunter is good on a leash, is good in his crate, knows sit and loves car rides. Don’t open a car door with him near or he’ll leap right in! His owner said he’s good with cats but he’ll chase for fun and he’s good with cows. I don’t think any of our adopters have cows in their back yards though. He’ll need to learn house manners (ie, house training), but this boy wants to please and so we expect he will be a quick study.
