542 Cody

Cody is about a 3 year old 57 pound black male mix. We got a call from a rural shelter…animal control officer found a dog laying in a ditch next to the road on her way to dropping off her daughter at school. Like a typical animal lover, she stopped, picked him up and took him home while she searched the neighborhood for his owner. While he was there, he met her cats and loved them. When she had no luck finding his owners, she transported him to the shelter where he got x-rays and had his wounds treated. He has a few scrapes and bruises but no lasting damage. This boy milked it for all it’s worth! Cody is the biggest baby you’ll ever meet. He wants as much attention as you can give him and then a little more! He knows sit, walks ok on a leash, and is crate trained and is becoming house trained (smart boy!). He gets along great with large and small dogs, kids, and cats. He doesn’t jump up and he really is a gentle soul who just wants an ear scratched. Yes, we know he’s a mix, and when a dog is as nice as Cody is and needs our rescue’s help, we can overlook the obvious and appreciate what a super boy Cody truly is. We hope you will too!
