540 Zappa
Zappa is about a 75 pound 9 year old dark yellow male. He found himself in a small coastal shelter where a local rescue saved him and cared for him. Unfortunately, no one in the area appreciated what a great dog Zappa is so the rescue contacted us to help find him a forever home where a seasoned citizen will be loved and spoiled in his golden years. Zappa is a well trained boy who is house trained, crate trained, knows sit and walks nicely on a leash. He enjoys car rides too. He gets along with most dogs with a proper introduction, but he’d be happiest being the king of the castle. According to his previous rescue, he and cats are not a good combination. We affectionately nicknamed Zappa the grumpy ol’ grandpa! You know what we’re talking about…the sweet old man who has an opinion about everything, but he’s got a heart of gold. And who loves grandpa more than a sweet grandma? Each night as we turn off the TV, start to lock up the house, Zappa flies upstairs to go to bed before we get the lights out. Zappa gets his exercise by keeping the squirrels out of the yard. His favorite thing to do is to get a nice sun bath and then come in the house and lay under your feet. Zappa would be the perfect dog for a senior or couple who just want to have the love and affection of a lab around.
