498 Eli
Eli is a red male lab mix between 7 and 8 years old weighing 68 pounds. His elderly gentleman owner passed away last December and neighbors have been taking care of him (tied him to a tree in the front yard) until the nephew inheriting the house, dog, and belongings showed up last month. The nephew promptly took his uncle’s dog to the shelter because he didn’t want to be bothered. Eli is sweet as can be, he knows sit, down, stay, and is house trained (the gentleman raised him from a puppy and we know his owner must have loved him dearly). He loves to play ball too. Eli is fairly active and would be an awesome companion for walking, hiking, or jogging. Eli is a very good boy and respectful with other dogs and kids (he will chase a cat though). Eli has great manners, he is very obedient, aims to please, he also knows how to smile!!! Eli is ready to start a new life with a forever family that will love and cherish him. Eli is a very special boy, rescues like him don’t come along often. He is a velcro boy, loves to do the “lab lean”, and will follow you everywhere.
