Rocky (2) is an 8 year old 70 pound chocolate male lab mix. Another one likely mixed with German shorthair pointer, Rocky was taken to a boarding facility and abandoned there. When the fires came through the area, all the dogs got sent to the shelter but because Rocky was abandoned, the shelter asked us for help to make room. For each dog we rescue, gives a spot for another dog so, really, 2 dogs are saved. Rocky is Mr. Personality! He greeted all his new foster friends with his goofy smile and off to the yard he went with them to check out his new place. Friendly, happy, gregarious, and energetic. He is no way a senior citizen at 8. He is getting a house training refresher, is crate trained and actually runs into his crate for bedtime. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling with little correction. He doesn’t jump up and he loves car rides. He rarely barks but he does break into a howl when the fire trucks go by. Someone loved him and cared for him…it’s just so sad that such a great dog has to look for a new forever home. Hopefully, someone will fall in love with that face…it’s never without a ‘smile’ and give him all the love and attention he deserves!
