379 Shorty
Shorty is about a 50 pound nearly 9 month old almost white male mix. Sadly Shorty’s adopters had major unforeseen catastrophic life changes which resulted in them sadly having to return Shorty. Shorty is not going to win any beauty contests, but he’s in the running for Mr. Congeniality! He found himself in an overcrowded shelter after 4th of July and rescue was called. Sadly, Shorty was born with some ‘short’-comings, hence the name. He has an overbite and a non-formed left ear canal. His right ear sits higher on his head and gives him a cute look. He had his cherry eye repaired when he was neutered and it has healed so well you can’t tell anything was ever amiss. It’s easy to look past his ‘flaws’ because Shorty is one incredible loving pup. He wants to play with his foster friends but they are old and cranky…so he listens to them and just lays by them. With other playful dogs, he runs like the wind playing and having fun. He wants to please and he wants to be good because he hates being scolded. Shorty is completely house trained and uses a doggie door. He sleeps quietly in a crate at night, but he wouldn’t mind sleeping stretched out on the couch too. His house manners are good, he knows sit and working on down, but he could use some leash work…nothing that can’t be corrected with a round of obedience which will make him the perfect boy.
