Baxter is about a 7 year old rolly-polly black male. Don’t let the age or weight fool you–this boy has ‘hops,’ especially when there is water involved! He’s new to us, but during his time in the shelter, they noted that there was never a mess, and he waited just as long as could to go potty outside, so we assume he is house trained. He jumped right into a crate, and sleeps quietly in it at night. He walks nicely on a leash, knows sit and down and seems to get along with other dogs as long as they aren’t leaping into his face. He also likes to play fetch, so a daily game of fetch, an evening walk and a little less dog food (from his size and palate, we’d guess he’s been getting table scraps) will have him finding his waistline in no time. Come meet Baxter, he’s a very engaging boy who will steal your heart in no time.
