786 Sunshine
Sunshine is a delightful petite 43-pound, 3-year-old yellow female. She was picked up as a stray and taken to a northern California shelter where no one came to claim her. Our gut feeling is she was purchased to be a hunting dog and has probably spent most of her young life in a kennel. She does have house manners though and doesn’t jump on furniture or counter surf so she’s been in the house at some point of her life. She appears to be house trained and goes out to do her business through the doggie door. She sleeps quietly in a crate at night, but with the first sounds in the house, she’s ready to go! She’s learning leash manners and some basic obedience and she’s so smart…a quick study. She is good with all her foster dog friends but before coming to live with us, I doubt she had much interaction with other dogs. She’s now learning how to play and loving it! Sunshine is an active girl who does settle, but she’ll need some patience and training to make her the fabulous dog that we see in her.
