709 Dexter
Dexter is a 6 1/2 year old 130 pound purebred black male. This gentle giant has lived his entire life as an outside only dog. He was taken in by his current family thinking they could offer him a better life but soon realized with a toddler and an infant, there was just no time to spare for Dexter. Their heart was in the right place when they contacted us. Dexter really is gentle (very careful around the 2 year old daughter), but he hasn’t had any formal training. We’ve started but it takes time, but the big guy is worth it! He needs to lose 30+ pounds so diet and exercise are a must. Dexter loves people, good with children and is very good with other dogs. All he needs is training and lots of love and attention and he’ll be the best gentle giant ever.
