674 Luna

Luna is a 2 year old (birthdate 4/11/2018) purebred yellow female lab weighing about 55 pounds. She was surrendered by her owner because she could not afford to care for her. Luna is sweet, innocent, happy, wiggly, friendly, playful and loves other dogs and kids. She has play energy but does settle down when its rest time. Her owner commented she isn’t good with cats, we don’t have the ability to verify that. Luna knows sit, crate trained, house trained and will counter surf given the opportunity for “take out” (as do all labs). We allergy tested her and will have the results by next week. We are testing for environmental and food allergies, likely she has both and depending on the results our test company provides the dog foods and treats on the market that she will be able to eat. She very likely will need some allergy medication (like Apoquel) to control her itching but we will know more after the test results come back. With the recommended food based on allergy testing and medication her monthly costs could be between $100 and $200 per month. Allergy dogs also tend to have chronic ear infections but those can be kept under control with weekly proactive treatments.
