656 Luna

Luna is a 3 1/2 year old 62 pound purebred black female. Family purchased her as a puppy and thought the kids would love to have a lab. Unfortunately with work, school and after school activities, there was no time left for Luna. And with a pool and deck as the back yard, there was no room for her to run around on her own. Luna, like everyone of our rescued dogs, deserves a second chance to find the home where she will be the center of attention. She’s been mostly an outside dog, so house training has started. She knows a few of the basics, but taking her to an obedience class will strengthen the bond between you and only make her the best dog she can be. She’s not had a lot of life experiences but she is ok with other dogs, but probably not cats. She is a Labrador that is not a retriever. She doesn’t play fetch. She does love to swim and you can’t keep her out of the pool so if you have a pool, you’ll need a fence around it for Luna’s safety. She is initially shy but we have seen that she warms up after a few days and loves to cuddle.
