633 Duncan
Duncan is a 121 pound about 10 year old yellow male. He was turned in as a ‘stray’ to a valley shelter with the people saying they ‘found him’. Duncan is NOT going to wander off! We are sure Duncan cried as his owners walked away and left him at the shelter…Dogs like Duncan are the hardest for us folks in rescue. Our brains tell us he’s going to be difficult to adopt because of his size and age. But our hearts tell us we have to rescue him because he doesn’t have a chance to be adopted in the short time he has at a shelter. At one time in his life, his people loved him. He knows sit and walks easily (but slowly) on a leash. But now that he’s old with lumps and bumps, he’s disposable–that’s just horrible! He LOVES car rides and actually climbed into the back seat of our SUV. He is an easy going boy who gets along with everyone–dogs, cats and kids…just don’t let little ones try to ride him. He seems to have house manners and is likely house trained. Duncan is an old guy with a huge heart, full of life and a big personality! We know there are others like us who would love to give a senior a cozy warm bed for the winter and an easy going walk around the block…is that you?
