446 Cal
Cal is about an 8 year old 76 pound black male. Cal likely has a little shepherd in him, but when we saw that precious gray face, we couldn’t say no when a rural shelter asked us for rescue help. Cal is new to us and we are still getting to know him, but so far we know he’s good with other dogs and actually shook in fear when he met the shelter cat! He sleeps quietly in his crate, is easy on a leash, is quiet and can’t get enough ear scratches even though his ears aren’t perfect lab ears. He’ll need a quick refresher on house training, but a quick NO redirects him from the typical male marking behavior. He’s attentive to his humans and makes good if not soulful eye contact. Cal is a good ol’ dog just looking for a family to love and a daily walk around the block to sniff all the neighborhood smells.
