445 Bailey
Bailey is about a 5 year old 58 pound chocolate female. Poor Bailey found her way to a valley shelter and they called us for rescue. Honestly, I think the shelter was the most she’s seen of the world outside her back yard. This poor girl is shell shocked…the world is a big scary place for her right now and she’s going to need baby steps to learn to appreciate that life can be fun. From the amount of dirt that came off her when she got a bath, we suspect it was her first. Another first was putting a leash on her and taking her for a walk. Though, she is learning quickly that the leash is only so long and walking at heal is much more fun. She seems to get along (or should I say ignores) other dogs, we don’t know about cats. She is sleeping quietly in her crate (her safe place) and definitely likes it for security. Surprisingly, she enjoys petting and will sit on your feet to get ear scratches so I know she’ll come around. It will just take time and patience.
