419 Scooby
Scooby is a chocolate male about 18 months old and weighing approximately 67 pounds (he could gain a few pounds since he is a bit on the thin side). He was dropped off at a small rural shelter and we got a call asking if we would take him, the shelter staff really like him. He is about what his name implies, a Scooby who is goofy, silly, happy, playful, and loves attention. He doesn’t seem to know much but the shelter staff taught him sit and a few other things which he learned in a day. He is smart and makes good eye contact so he is interested in learning. He definitely needs obedience classes (as do all our young dogs) to make him the best dog ever. We have seen many big young dogs like him come into our rescue and get adopted then go on to make phenomenal dogs with training by their new owners. We have seen some amazing results and Scooby fits right in with that scenario. He will make a trusted companion and be devoted to his new owners. Scooby is now using the doggie door and seems to be potty trained now, he learned very quickly. He loves his humans (especially kids over the age of 8, he loves to run around with them, younger kids will get run over without Scooby even knowing it) and will follow you everywhere. He is good in the car too.
