368 Doug

Doug is about a 70 pound 1 1/2 year old black lab/wookie cross. Shelter staff describe him as a wirehaired pointer/lab mix. This boy is so nice he got picked to be part of a summer camp program with kids, but he came down with kennel cough so he wasn’t able to participate. He was picked up as a stray and his owners came and refused to pay his bail and didn’t leave any information about the dog! Doug is happy, fun, friendly guy who has lots of energy to play…he got a gold star on his temperament test! He is house trained, went right into a crate and walks easily on a leash. That’s why we overlooked the obvious–he’s not all lab, but he’s a really nice dog. And dogs as nice as this boy we can overlook the wookie look. Unfortunately, he’s still recovering from his doggie cold and can’t be neutered yet, but he’ll be ready for visitors in a few days.
