223 Ernie

Ernie is an approximately 4 years old, a fluffy 98 lbs, neutered black male. He is heart worm positive, came in with Harold, both such a handsome boys. Ernie is happy and friendly, outgoing, people oriented, playful, loves toys, energetic (although he can be a lay around lazy boy most of the time), loves attention and being brushed, and gives lots of big kisses. Ernie is very responsive and listens well. He loves to sit very close to you for love and hugs. Ernie has a wonderful disposition and is okay being handled as we pulled on his toes, tail, and ears. He is a smart boy and knows the sit command, he has been well cared for in his former home but unfortunately he has heart worms and will get his needed treatment with us. Ernie is very good with his foster mom’s 7 year old daughter. Ernie is a jewel of a boy who will reward you with many years of love and fun when he joins your family, he does need a cat free environment though as he is a little too focused on them. If you are interested in adopting Ernie and live near us it may be possible for you to foster-to-adopt through his heartworm treatment with us, that way he can live with you and get on with bonding with his new adoptive family. Update: Ernie moved in recently with his new foster to adopt mom.
