134 Charlotte

Charlotte is about 4 years old and weighs 72 pounds. She is the sweetest girl! She climbed in the water bucket at the shelter so we are sure she will love to swim. She is potty trained and crate trained. She walked in and met all her foster dog friends and made herself at home right away, she is very much a “social butterfly”. She still has puppy weight from having puppies so she could use a bit of dieting. She is a play monkey with her fosters dogs and very active for her size, we are guessing she will have the weight off in no time. She tested positive for heartworm disease, she had her first treatment September 14, and the last treatment will be 30 days following that. During her treatment she can go home as a foster to adopt but she is on restricted activity, no running around or playing. During Charlotte’s first treatment the x-rays did not show any heart damage and in fact the vet did not see any evidence of worms, he re-tested her just to be sure she had the disease before he treated her. Charlotte is a very special fun loving girl, her foster mom is very much in love with her! She does have the run of the house day and night, Charlotte does not need to be crated at all, and in fact sometimes needs a spot on the couch. Charlotte is the type of dog that loves everyone and would do best in a home with dog friends or lots of visiting social time with dog friends.
